SnoreScore

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 19, 2026
Developer: Denys Mylymko
App: SnoreScore: Snore Tracker App

This Privacy Policy describes how SnoreScore: Snore Tracker App ("we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please stop using the App immediately.

1. The Short Version

The App records and analyses sound while you sleep. Those recordings and the results calculated from them stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server of ours that holds your nights.

Three things do leave your device, and none of them contains audio: verification of your purchase, anonymous usage statistics, and crash reports. Each is described below.

2. Information Stored Only on Your Device

2.1 Audio Recordings

The App requests access to your device's microphone in order to detect snoring while you sleep. Recording continues in the background with the screen locked, which is why the microphone permission is required.

The App does not record the whole night as one file. It keeps only short audio clips around each detected snoring episode. These clips are written to the App's private storage area on your device.

Audio never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us, to any analytics provider, or to any third party.

2.2 Sleep and Snoring Data

The following is calculated on your device and stored in a local database inside the App:

This data is not transmitted anywhere.

2.3 Settings

Detection sensitivity, language, reminder preferences and similar settings are stored locally on your device.

3. Information That Leaves Your Device

3.1 Purchase Verification

If you buy a subscription or a one-time purchase, the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store. To confirm that a purchase is valid and still active, the App uses Apphud Inc. as its subscription management provider.

For this purpose the following may be transmitted: a purchase receipt or transaction identifier, a device identifier, your App Store storefront country, and the App version. No audio, no sleep data and no name or email address are involved.

3.2 Usage Statistics

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used — for example, which screens are opened, and whether a purchase or a restore of purchases succeeded, failed, or was cancelled.

Firebase Analytics collects an app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, language and country-level region. It does not collect audio, sleep data, or anything you type.

The App does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not display advertising, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3.3 Crash Reports

The App uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes and errors so that faults can be found and fixed. A crash report contains the state of the App at the moment of failure, the device model and operating system version. It contains no audio and no sleep data.

3.4 Remote Configuration

The App uses Google Firebase Remote Config to fetch a small number of configuration values at startup, which allows behaviour such as the presentation of the subscription screen to be adjusted without releasing a new version. This is a download; no personal data is sent in order to receive it.

3.5 Support Correspondence

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it solely to answer you.

4. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, date of birth, postal address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, health records, or payment card details. We have no account system, so there is no profile associated with you.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA Users)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process data on the following bases:

6. Data Retention

7. Your Privacy Rights

7.1 GDPR Rights (EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access your personal data, request correction or erasure, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Because the App holds your recordings and results only on your own device, you can exercise deletion yourself and completely, at any time, through Settings → Delete all data.

7.2 California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.

7.3 How to Exercise Your Rights

Write to snorescore.support@gmail.com. Since we hold no account, please tell us enough for us to identify the relevant records — for example the approximate date of a purchase.

8. Third-Party Services

Provider Purpose Privacy information
Apple Inc. App distribution, payments apple.com/legal/privacy
Apphud Inc. Subscription management and purchase verification apphud.com/privacy
Google LLC (Firebase) Usage analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration firebase.google.com/support/privacy

These providers act as processors on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies. We do not control their practices and encourage you to read their notices.

9. International Data Transfers

The providers listed above are established in, or transfer data to, the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers are governed by the safeguards each provider maintains, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. No audio or sleep data is transferred, because it never leaves your device.

10. Notifications

The App can send you an optional bedtime reminder, and a morning notification if a recording is still running. These are scheduled locally on your device. No push token is registered with us and no notification content is sent through a server.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact snorescore.support@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Not a Medical Device

SnoreScore is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, including sleep apnea. Loudness figures shown in the App are relative and approximate and are not calibrated decibel measurements. If you are concerned about your snoring or your sleep, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

13. Data Security

Your recordings and results are held in the App's private storage area, protected by your device's own operating-system protections and, where you have enabled it, device encryption. Data transmitted for purchase verification, analytics and crash reporting is sent over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS).

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Keeping your device locked with a passcode is the single most effective protection for the data the App keeps.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will carry a new effective date and will be available at the same address. Material changes will be announced in the App before they take effect. Continuing to use the App after that date means you accept the updated policy.
